We deweeded, trimmed hedges, rose bushes and added a top layer of new dark mulch all the way around the property.

The mulch is a dark espresso, which is the most popular trend in mulch this year. So do me a favor and don't use the ugly red mulch, it hurts my eyes and "it's so 80's.
If you are doing mulch choose a rich, dark chocolate or espresso. You will love the results.
